Young Person Process Improvement Specialist, Work Experience Placement – Derby, 19th -22nd October 2026

Who it's for:
Young people aged 14–18 who are interested in gaining hands-on experience of the world of work and exploring future career opportunities.
This placement is ideal for those who are curious, willing to learn, and keen to build confidence in a professional environment. Whether you already have a career in mind or are still exploring your options, this is a great opportunity to try something new, develop key skills, and get a real insight into how teams work day to day.
No previous experience is needed—just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved!
What’s This All About?
Step into the world of customer service, process improvement, and business optimisation to discover how we deliver great experiences for our customers every day. During this placement, you'll work alongside our Optimisation Team, learning how we analyse customer journeys, identify opportunities for improvement, and help make our processes simpler, faster, and more effective.
You'll gain a behind-the-scenes insight into the day-to-day operations of a busy customer contact centre, exploring how teams use data, feedback, and problem-solving techniques to improve the service we provide. You'll see how we review customer interactions, identify trends, and develop solutions that make a real difference for both customers and colleagues.
