What you will do
You will help accelerate the development of our world-leading Gii technology, our proprietary 3D porous pure carbon material, by contributing to cutting-edge research, designing experiments, advancing new applications, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to solve complex scientific challenges. This may include:
- Developing and optimising electrochemical sensors and next-generation diagnostic solutions
- Exploring Gii integration in applications such as heavy metal sensing, flexible electronics, supercapacitors, or IoT platforms
- Designing and executing experiments that deepen our understanding of Gii and expand its application landscape
- Working closely with colleagues across science, engineering, technical, and product teams to translate research into real-world solutions
- Bringing creativity, rigour, and a solutions-focused mindset to every stage of development
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for individuals with hands-on experience in product development, scientists, and engineers who are excited by solving hard problems in the laboratory, exploring new ideas, and advancing next-generation materials and devices. You may come from disciplines such as chemistry, materials science, electrochemistry, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field. A relevant degree as well as industry experience is highly valuable, and we love to see evidence of a growth mindset, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning.

- Electrochemical biosensor development
- Heavy-metal sensing for environmental applications
- IoT solutions in healthcare or energy storage
- Energy harvesting technologies for low-power devices
- Flexible PCBs or electronics
- Bioassay reagents development

Where we are
We are based in Stirling in central Scotland, a city with rich historical significance. As well as being historic, Stirling is in a great position for quick access to Edinburgh and Glasgow by public transport. It also has easy access to the Highlands and rural Scotland.
