About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, well-organised individual, who wants to help young people make a change and achieve their full potential to join our team as a Youth and Community Worker.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational delivery of the Youth Engagement and Progression programme which is focused on providing young person-centred support for individuals aged 15+ identified as NEET or at risk of becoming NEET. Providing interventions, activities and opportunities with the right level of challenge and support to help them make genuine progress to enter appropriate and sustainable education, training and/or employment.

Responsibilities

As a Youth & Community Worker you will provide support for NEET or at risk of NEET young people aged 15+ to enter or sustain education, training and/or employment.

  • Provide a variety of projects, courses and one-to-one work support to remove individual barriers the young people are facing and improve their well-being to successfully access and maintain employment, education and/or training.
  • Use a variety of youth work interventions and signposting to specialist agencies and organisations.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with other agencies.
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be proactive and be able to work under their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Key Requirements

As a Youth and Community Worker using Youth Work techniques you will support and engage with a caseload of young people aged 15+ some of whom are furthest away from the labour market, to tackle barriers that are preventing them from engaging, accessing or sustaining employment, education or training. Support provided will help reduce their barriers to explore opportunities to enter education, training and/or employment and decrease the number of NEET young people within NPT.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
