Could you help us build something different for young people?
Here at Stour Church, we're looking for a passionate, approachable, and community-minded person to join us as we build a new Youth Ministry from the ground up. We're not looking to just recreate a traditional church group for young people, but instead, we want to create a space where young people can come as they are, make friends, have fun, and develop in confidence as they encounter the Christian faith naturally through relationships and community.
This is a different kind of youth ministry. We believe that young people don't need another program telling them to come to church, but they need people who will go to where they are, build real relationships, create spaces where they can become, and show them something of the love of Christ. This might happen on a football pitch, at a pizza night, around a table talking about life, or in prayer together. We want to build a ministry for young people that makes space for all of those things.
Your Role
- Taking the lead on the planning and delivery of the Youth Ministry program
- Running regular in-person and online social activities, trips, and community events
- Building genuine relationships with local young people and other organisations
- Creating appropriate opportunities for prayer, worship, and conversations about faith
- Support young people in discovering what the Christian faith looks like in everyday life
- Working alongside church leadership to create a safe and supportive environment

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Stour Church
Stour Church is a community-rooted church based in Stourbridge, focused on being present in local streets, neighbourhoods, and everyday spaces rather than a single building. Inspired by the radical life and teachings of Jesus, the church is committed to standing alongside and serving people who are often overlooked.
