Company Description
TrailFam is a community-focused organisation that uses trail running to connect young people with nature. The team is committed to helping young people discover the physical and mental benefits of trail running.
Role Description
You will lead a youth running group in Bexhill, East Sussex. You will plan and lead trail running sessions adapted for the young people in your group, focusing on developing their fitness, skills, confidence, and enjoyment of nature. You will design a training programme for the group, and ensure all activities follow safety protocols and safeguarding standards whilst tracking and reporting on participants’ progress.

- Location: Bexhill, England (East Sussex)
- Pay: £24/hour
- Start Date: September 2026
- Schedule: Weekly sessions on Mondays (term time), 11am – 1pm

Qualifications
Essential
- Experience working with young people and be able to demonstrate differentiated coaching and training activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and support young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage groups safely, conduct risk assessments, and follow safeguarding and child protection guidelines.
- Comfort working in varied weather conditions and terrain, with a high level of personal fitness.

Desirable
- Relevant coaching certification (e.g., athletics or running coach qualification) or equivalent experience.
- Education qualification such as PGCE with QTS is highly beneficial.
- First aid training, a clear background check, and willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
