We are seeking a passionate Youth Voice & Engagement Manager to help young people build confidence, influence decisions and shape opportunities across the UK.
Position: Youth Voice & Engagement Manager
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience
Location: Hybrid, with at least one day per week in the Bolton office and travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About The Role
Young people deserve a meaningful say in the decisions that affect their lives. In this rewarding role, you will ensure their voices help shape a national youth charity’s priorities, programmes and services.
Your main focus will be coordinating the Youth Advisory Board, bringing together young people from across a nationwide network. You will create opportunities for them to develop leadership and advocacy skills, share their experiences and influence decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Recruiting, inducting and supporting a diverse group of Youth Advisory Board members.
- Coordinating meetings, communications and follow-up actions.
- Planning and delivering workshops, training and residential activities.
- Supporting young people to speak at events, engage with the media and contribute to campaigns and consultations.
- Connecting young people with senior leaders and external decision-makers.
- Supporting youth participation in the development of new youth facilities.
- Managing sessional youth workers supporting project delivery.
- Evaluating participation activities and maintaining strong safeguarding practice.

About You
You will be an experienced youth worker who knows how to build trust, inspire participation and help young people turn their ideas into action.
You Will Bring
- Youth work experience across different settings, including developmental programmes and youth participation.
- Experience supporting young people to influence decisions.
- The ability to develop and deliver engaging training.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience handling concerns.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- A creative, flexible approach and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
You must be willing to travel and work flexibly, including frequent evenings, weekends and residential activities.
