About The Role
We are seeking a committed Youth Work Officer to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Track attendance and behaviour within your assigned faculties, spot concerning patterns early and implementing early intervention.
- Work embedded in faculty teams, planning timely, targeted interventions with faculty staff and coordinating support with ALS, Safeguarding and CEIAG.
- Run programmes for vulnerable or disengaged students through mentoring, peer support and youth-led initiatives, with 1:1 support where needed.
- Build pathways to non-clinical wellbeing services, and deliver group sessions and workshops on wellbeing, respect, motivation and life skills.
- Support youth-led community projects and bespoke personal development activities, promote inclusion and student voice, and support the Parental Engagement Strategy.
- Keep accurate records of interventions, contacts and outcomes, and produce timely reports for internal and external stakeholders, including impact data.
- Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

Skills And Experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A proven ability to build supportive relationships with diverse young people.
- Experience managing a caseload and improving student engagement or wellbeing.
- A practical understanding of this in youth or educational settings.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, working across teams and services.
- Confidence delivering presentations and sessions to groups.
