As an Adoption Youth Worker, you will provide high-quality, child-centred support to adopted young people. Your role will focus on promoting emotional well-being and helping them achieve positive outcomes. You will build trusting relationships and deliver tailored interventions to meet individual needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people!
In This Role, You Will
- Develop trusting and therapeutic relationships with young people.
- Work collaboratively with adoptive families, social workers, and partner agencies.
- Facilitate direct work, group activities, and participation opportunities.
- Ensure that the voice of the young person is central to service delivery.
- Advocate for young people, empowering them to develop confidence and strengthen family relationships.

To Succeed In This Role, You Should Have
- A relevant qualification in social work or a related field.
- A good understanding of attachment and the impact of developmental trauma.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Knowledge of legislation and policies related to adoption and child welfare.
