LADbible Group is one of the world's most engaged digital entertainment businesses, reaching over a billion people globally and amassing more than 13.9 billion social views each month. With a powerhouse portfolio across general lifestyle, entertainment, sport, gaming, and tech, our brands - including LADbible, UNILAD, GAMINGbible, and UNILAD Tech - are some of the most recognised and culturally relevant on the internet.

YouTube is one of our biggest growth engines, home to some of the most distinctive channels, including LADbible Entertainment, LADbible Stories and SPORTbible. From working with the world's biggest creators and A-list talent on hit formats like Snack Wars, to powerful storytelling through series such as Minutes With and Honesty Box, we've become one of the most exciting and influential players in the industry.

About the Role

Our YouTube team is growing, and we are on the proactive lookout for a Content Strategist. The Content Strategist owns the brief behind every format — turning audience and platform insight into the thumbnail, structure and casting decisions made before a single frame is shot, and shaping formats all the way from first pilot through to franchise.

What the opportunity looks like

  • Format Briefing - Own the thumbnail-first brief for every commission — concept and working title agreed before a frame is shot, and structure designed to escalate viewer attention across the episode, so distribution insight shapes the content from day one, not after the edit.
  • Gate Management - Agree CTR and AVD targets per format with the channel lead, feed the weekly gate review, and flag any format missing its gates for two consecutive weeks.
  • Audience Cluster Research - Lead audience cluster definition for dormant and pre-launch channels — analytics, audience overlap and competitive mapping used to validate a format direction before it's ever briefed.
  • Competitive & Format Intelligence - Track competitor formats and emerging category trends, translating findings into concrete format gaps and commissioning opportunities.
  • Data Partnership - Work with the data team to shape the internal performance build, ensuring the format, episode and talent-level view actually supports commissioning decisions.
  • Brand Fit Oversight - Monitor audience and comment sentiment on branded content, flagging any integration that risks trust before it's repeated or scaled.
  • Live Format Iteration - Feed ongoing performance and retention analysis back into the briefs of formats already in production, so every live series keeps improving episode to episode.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills and experience we'd like you to have

  • Content strategy background - Proven experience in content strategy, commissioning or format development, ideally within YouTube, social video or digital publishing.
  • Platform fluency - Strong understanding of YouTube performance metrics — AVD, CTR, retention curves — and how they translate into a production brief, not just a report.
  • Research experience - Experience running or contributing to audience cluster research, competitive analysis or format gap identification.
  • Data-first thinking - Comfortable working from data first — able to read a decay curve or a competitor set and turn it into a brief decision.
  • Stakeholder management - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, briefing creative and data-driven audiences with equal clarity.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - A test-and-learn mentality, comfortable building and refining process in a fast-moving environment.
