ClearCue YouTube-native Producer/Editor
ClearCue is looking for a YouTube-native producer/editor to own a new weekly editorial strand about how editing actually works.
This isn't primarily a product-tutorial role. We want to make interesting, beautifully produced short films about the dynamics of editing: timing, pacing, rhythm, movement, structure, sound, anticipation, emphasis, and the small decisions that change how an edit feels.
ClearCue develops tools that make timing visible inside the edit. We're building a new approach to exploring temporal structure, but the content should stand on its own. A viewer shouldn't need to use ClearCue to find the films useful or interesting.
The Role
You'll help develop and produce approximately one YouTube film per week, generally short and tightly focused.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We're looking for someone who can do more than execute a brief. We want someone who can find interesting editorial questions, develop ideas, spot examples, shape a story and turn that into something people genuinely want to watch.
You'll have considerable creative freedom to develop the strand and its style.
We're interested in someone who:
- Understands editing as a creative discipline, not just software operation
- Has strong video editing and production skills
- Understands what makes YouTube content engaging
- Is curious about timing, rhythm, pacing, sound and visual storytelling
- Can take an idea from question → concept → finished film
- Has opinions about editing and enjoys testing them
- Would like to take ownership of a distinctive editorial series

Knowledge of Resolve is useful but not essential.
Freelance/contract initially. We'd like to begin with a paid four-film project and, if it works for both sides, develop this into an ongoing weekly collaboration.
Remote is absolutely fine. Chester / North West is a bonus, not a requirement.
How to Apply
Please don't just send a CV.
Send us:
- 2–3 examples of video work you're proud of
- Three ideas for films about editing that you would genuinely want to make
- A short note about why those ideas interest you
We're much more interested in your taste, curiosity and ideas than the size of channels you've previously worked on.
