About us
The Polar Bears is a UK-based YouTube channel management agency. We manage channels for major TV and entertainment rights holders, producers, and broadcasters, covering publishing, optimisation and analytics across cooking competitions, reality, documentary, crime and kids and family content.
The role
We're looking for an experienced YouTube thumbnail designer to join our design team on a contract basis. You'll work across many channels and languages, and each one has its own detailed brand guidelines.

What you'll do
- Design YouTube thumbnails from a steady daily flow of tasks
- Apply client brand guidelines accurately: logo placement, approved fonts, text colour rules and franchise styling
- Adapt designs for different channels, formats and languages
- Hit agreed turnarounds and act quickly on QA feedback
- Flag unclear briefs before you start, not after
What we're looking for
- Proven experience designing YouTube thumbnails (a portfolio is essential)
- A track record of following strict brand guidelines with very few revision rounds
- Sharp attention to detail, especially with typography and logo use
- Confidence in Photoshop, Canva or Figma
- The ability to manage a daily task queue on your own and deliver reliably
- Clear written communication in English

Nice to have
- Experience designing for TV, entertainment or format brands
- Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT in your workflow
- Experience designing for audiences outside the UK and in languages other than English

- Contract | 25-30 hours per week | Remote, with UK time zone overlap | Start: ASAP
