Overview

Seeking a highly motivated and engaged Estate Manager to lead the full operational management of a portfolio of newly established, high-spec private residences across the UK, including a principal property in Surrey. The Estate Manager will operate as a trusted senior figure, working alongside the Executive Family Assistant, acting as the primary interface between the family, other household staff, security, and grounds/estate staff, the Family Office team, and all external advisors and service providers, when the family are in residence. This is a long-term position for a candidate who thrives in private service at the highest level. The successful individual will build a deep understanding of the family’s preferences, routines and expectations, enabling the household to function seamlessly.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of all Household & Estate operations for properties across the UK.
  • Development and maintenance of Service Operating Procedures, policies, and household manuals for properties.
  • Snagging (a full renovation project will be completing shortly).
  • Adhoc project coordination.
  • Staff leadership and management.
  • Accurate supplier management.
  • Principal and family support.
  • Travel and lifestyle management.
  • Financial budgeting and planning.
  • Systems oversight, planning and scheduling the regular and routine maintenance and repairs of the property on the estate, as well as overseeing household projects as required.
  • Regular interaction with principals to maintain direct communication and compliance with their needs. The principals are very involved with the day to day running of all aspects of the estate.
  • Regulatory compliance of properties (insurance, health and safety etc).

Candidates must be naturally warm, personable and service-driven with concierge-level attention to detail.

  • Excellent organisational skills are essential.
  • Candidates must also be able to work on their own or as part of a close knit team (including with all household staff, the PA and family office), and should have strong communication skills.
  • This role demands someone who can lead by example, manage change with care and courtesy and who takes great pride in their work.
  • It is essential that candidates have proven senior experience as a Head of Household, Estate Operations or Property Manager.
  • Candidates should also be dynamic, self-motivated and should bring a proactive approach for project and team management.
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English.

Salary and Benefits

From £75,000 gross pa, DOE
