Ready to lead the delivery of exciting Zoo infrastructure projects as a Zoo Capitals Project Manager at Chessington World of Adventures Resort?
At Chessington, our Zoo is constantly evolving to support world-class animal welfare, conservation, and guest experiences. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering Zoo-related capital projects, acting as the main point of contact between Merlin Magic Making, Zoo teams, and external contractors. From new habitats and facilities to operational improvements, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
No two days are the same. You will manage projects from initial concept through to completion, working with stakeholders across Zoo, Health & Safety, Planning, and Building Control teams to define scope, develop business cases, and oversee tender processes. You'll be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and contractor performance, ensuring projects provide the best value while meeting operational and animal welfare requirements.
You will also oversee project risks and compliance, ensuring all works are delivered in line with company policies, CDM regulations, and health and safety standards. Working closely with contractors and operational teams, you will coordinate project activity on site, minimize disruption, and ensure all works are completed safely and effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
