Wold Farms Ltd is a leading agricultural business specialising in the breeding and rearing of pigs to the highest RSPCA Assured standards. We are seeking a dedicated Fields Person to join our team in the East Yorkshire area. This position will be on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday with alternate weekend working. This role will be working within the existing team ensuring smooth running of pig health, welfare & movements across the farming business.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our contract growers and finishers
• Assisting with stock movements and advising on pig selection for slaughter ensuring they meet the target weight and quality
• Ensuring the day-to-day health of livestock is in line with RSPCA assurance standards and Company policy, advising when required
• Communication with the production team on a regular basis to ensure smooth running of all operations

Requirements

• Experience with handling livestock and a keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is essential for this role
• Ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must
• The ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
• You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Full UK Driving Licence
