The Herne Tavern just had a refurb and we're looking for a Head Chef to oversee our brand new kitchen! Serving a gastro pub menu - we only use fresh produce and are looking for a passionate chef to lead the kitchen team. The right chef will have the ability to put their stamp on the business with their own dishes and specials.
Requirements
- An enthusiastic, dynamic and qualified Head Chef who is ready for a new challenge.
- Able to demonstrate your experience of working with fresh ingredients and seasonal menus.
- Able to demonstrate experience of working in a professional kitchen showing a clear understanding of Health and Safety.
- Able to show a proven track record of managing the kitchen and controlling stock and GP.
- Someone with a background of dealing with high volume.
- Able to show technical skill and attention to detail
- Able to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Confident in your communication skills and ability to lead and motivate their teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the brand new kitchen.
- Lead the kitchen team.
- Develop own dishes and specials.
- Manage the kitchen, control stock and GP.
