The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) will support the EMEA TSS team for France. The role's purpose is to improve business potential through sustained revenue growth of our GC and GC-MS instrument portfolio and related product lines.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. degree in Science or Business based fields or relevant experience
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working with gas chromatography and/or mass spectrometry instrumentation
  • Working experience from the routine laboratory environment (food, environmental or industrial) is welcome
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills with the competence to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audience
  • Fluent in French and English
  • German is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Discover potential opportunities within the market and customer segment to improve allegiance and sales revenue
  • Uncover customer interest in products and drive the Thermo Fisher Scientific value proposition
  • Interface and collaborate with key members of the Sales team, CMD Divisional marketing teams, Business Unit Product Management and Marketing, Application support team, and Technical service groups (IES) within CMD
  • Adopt & live Thermo Fisher 4I values
  • Share the voice of customer towards the Business Unit
  • Attend technical collaboration visits to Business Unit manufacturing and R&D sites
  • Support new Product Introduction (NPI) prospects within territory to increase adoption rates and revenue return
  • Support and handle the sales funnel and forecast in collaboration with country leads and their sales teams
  • Consult with key account managers and internal partners on obtaining customer forecasts for new and existing business
  • Develop strategies to achieve sales goals and metrics, including value proposition development
  • Use Thermo Fisher Scientific’s sales tools to efficiently handle accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasting accurately and timely
  • Maintain awareness of competitor and industry activity
  • Introduce new products and services as available
  • Undertake some activities outside the French territory
