You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors.
Requirements
- Relevant CITB/CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Full British Driving Licence
- Enthusiastic team player
- Flexible approach to work
- Safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change
- Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure safe and efficient operation and use of fixed machinery, such as bailing machines
- Complete pre-operational safety and operator checks
- Complete daily checks and maintenance of mobile plant, Fixed Plant and equipment
- Ensure all deliveries of waste follow the site licence and associated paperwork is completed
- Inspect incoming product(s) in line with the site Waste Acceptance Criteria and report any non-compliant loads
- Direct customer’s vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading
- Ensure compliance with all material export requirements
- Assist Sampling Operatives with collection of output samples
- Comply fully with all company and local procedures
- Keep the site clean and tidy
- Assist Production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime
- Contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site
- Work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare duties
- Undertake any other reasonable duties
Benefits
- Salary: £30,529.29 per annum
- Working Hours: 44 hours per week
- Schedule: 4-day working pattern (Friday 12 hours, Saturday 8 hours, Sunday 8 hours, Monday 12 hours) with three consecutive rest days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
