Weather is important to delivery riders. Riding around on a warm sunny day is a very different proposition to battling through rain, sleet and snow. Unsurprisingly the weather therefore has an impact on how many people will work.
We decided to dig into the relationship between the average daily temperature and the average £/order…
The results show a clear relationship: the coldest days of the year pay significantly more than hotter days
For anyone interested in looking in more detail at the data here is a regression analysis. Interestingly the hottest days of the year (more than 22C) also paid higher than average (although this summer there weren't many of them).
