Stuart Cuts Pay

Have Stuart done a sneaky pay cut without telling anyone?

Sep 5, 2024

Lots of drivers got in touch this week to ask whether there had been a Stuart pay cut.

So we looked at the numbers and it seems like Stuart have indeed reduced driver pay by 5p per order.

Here's an example of an order with the new reduced pay rate.

To our knowledge there has been no communication or warning from Stuart to any drivers about this pay cut (please correct us if we missed something).

The last time Stuart cut their driver pay formula was in 2023, when the minimum pay was reduced from £4.00 to £3.40. At that time there was at least an email to drivers telling them that their pay was being reduced.

The table below shows the previous Stuart pay structure, as announced in 2023. It appears to have been removed from their website. It is unclear whether this has been formally changed as there does not appear to have been any communication to drivers.

Stuart drivers have had a tough time recently with both the number of orders and the fee per order falling sharply. Average driver earnings per month on the platform have been declining steadily for some time and are now down by 70% since the beginning of last year.

Have you been seeing lower order fees on Stuart this week?
