Everyone loves tips.

A few unexpected quid on an order can really brighten up a shift, particularly given the cuts in driver fees over the past few years. They may only account for a small portion of average driver earnings (about 5%) but every little helps.

However, the chances of getting a tip vary a lot by city. We ran the numbers to see which cities and towns in the UK have the most generous customer.

It turns out the Scottish are actually much more generous than the English with more than twice as many orders getting tips in Edinburgh and Glasgow as in London.
