The Role: Early Help Practitioner (5 Month Fixed Term/Secondment)

Base: East Central Hub

Scope: You’ll join Barnet’s 0-19 Early Help Service, bridging critical gaps with tailored interventions to children/youth and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the operational lead for youth-focused under Barnet Youth and BACE (Barnet Advancing Children & Early Education) programmes during school holidays.
  • Lead event planning and delivery, with a particular focus on:
    • Wider inclusion of eligible young people
    • Maintaining flexible, evidence-backed support approaches
    • Enhanced resilience & life opportunities by addressing vulnerabilities

About You: Key Expectations

You must demonstrate: ✅ Experience working with children/youth/families ✅ Exceptional organisation skills, combined with:

  • Event management expertise
  • Programme activity support, including:
    • Administration
    • Costing
    • Admin support and resource coordination

✅ In-depth safeguarding knowledge ✅ Ability to prioritise/resolve tasks, maintain accurate records & excel in communication
