SEND Lecturer - 0.5 x 2 (one permanent role and one fixed term until June 2027 in the first instance)

£16,241.50 - £22,800.50 per annum

A position has become available within the discrete SEND department for a 0.5 Lecturer to deliver vocational skills across specialisms, with personal tutor pastoral responsibilities. The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion for inclusive teaching and positive outcomes for young people with SEND.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in teaching in discrete or specialist provision.
  • Ideally have a teaching qualification, e.g., PTTLS.
  • Experience of teaching and supporting young people.
  • A calm and empathic approach to students, with experience of using adaptive teaching methods.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders such as professionals, parents, and support services.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Experience in horticulture or similar related activities such as scout camps/forest schools and a willingness to achieve a horticulture-related qualification within the first 12 months of employment.
