SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support)

Location: Merton

Start Date: September 2026 | Full-time | Term-time only

Are you a compassionate and resilient graduate looking to gain exceptional SEND experience while making a genuine difference every day?

A specialist Autism provision in Croydon is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 8 pupil with Autism (ASC).

You'll build a positive relationship with the student while providing clear, consistent and fair support, helping them regulate emotions, engage with learning and develop independence.

The Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
  • Calm, patient and confident in providing firm but fair boundaries.
  • Passionate about supporting young people with Autism.
  • Available full-time from September 2026-July 2027
