1:1 Learning Support – Wandsworth – September 2026

Are you a compassionate and committed 1:1 Learning Support professional looking for a rewarding Contract opportunity in Wandsworth? Join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth that is recognised for its nurturing ethos, strong pastoral care and commitment to helping every child thrive. Serving around 190 pupils, the school supports a diverse community, with approximately 23% of pupils receiving SEN Support, 6% with an EHCP, and over 60% speaking English as an Additional Language. Recent outcomes show 56% of pupils achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 Learning Support for a pupil with additional learning needs.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual EHCP targets where appropriate.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
  • Assist with literacy, numeracy, communication and social development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reviews and support plans.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in 1:1 Learning Support, SEN, education or child-centred settings is highly desirable.
  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach is essential for a successful 1:1 Learning Support professional.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are required.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs is essential.
