The Role 1:1 SEND Specialist LSA
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs
- Assist with emotional regulation, communication and confidence-building
- Adapt learning materials and break down tasks to ensure accessibility
- Work closely with teachers, SENCo and parents to support progress
- Encourage independence, resilience and positive learning habits
- Contribute to a safe, secure and encouraging classroom environment
The Ideal 1:1 SEND Specialist LSA
- Previous experience working with children with SEND (essential)
- Calm, patient and nurturing, with a genuine passion for supporting individual needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
- A proactive, positive approach to problem-solving and behaviour support
- Commitment to helping children feel safe, understood and confident
