About the Role
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will provide specialist support to a Year 3 pupil with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), ensuring full curriculum access and self-confidence. Your responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Access: Adapt learning materials and classroom strategies to support communication needs.
- 1:1 & Group Support: Assist in small groups or individually during lessons, using structured, engaging activities.
- Social & Emotional Growth: Foster positive peer interactions, encouraging confidence and independence.
- Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCo to track progress and refine support.
- Regular Reporting: Provide observations, progress updates, and feedback to inform personalised learning plans.
- Full Inclusion: Ensure the child feels valued and integrated within school life.

The role is fixed-term, part-time, starting 5 mornings per week (8:45am–12:30pm) during term time. Continuation depends on the child’s ongoing support needs.
