1:1 Support Assistant – Secondary School in Chelmsford
Start Date: September 2026 | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity
Requirements: Strong academics (2:1 or First Class degree) + keen interest in 1:1 student support
A warm, inclusive secondary school in Chelmsford is seeking a committed 1:1 Support Assistant to work closely with a student who requires additional learning, social or emotional support. This role is an excellent fit for a Psychology Graduate eager to gain hands‑on experience supporting young people on an individual basis.
About the Role
As a 1:1 Support Assistant in Chelmsford, you will:
- Provide personalised 1:1 support to a student with additional needs
- Implement strategies that promote emotional regulation, independence and confidence
- Work closely with the SENCo, class teachers and external specialists
- Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the pupil you support
- Contribute to a calm, inclusive and student‑centred school environment
