1:1 Teaching Assistant
1:1 Teaching Assistant – Oasis Academy Marksbury Road
Interview Date: 22nd July
Oasis Academy Marksbury Road is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join our team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. In this supportive role, you will assist teaching staff in delivering high-quality educational provision, both on a whole-class and one-to-one basis, while fostering the pastoral and academic development of learners.
Job Overview
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, both in group and individual settings
- Creating and adapting resources to support learning activities
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress, providing timely feedback to the class teacher
- Ensuring all pupils receive personalised pastoral and academic support
- Maintaining a strong communication link with teaching staff to meet individual learning needs

Job Requirements
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
- Experience in class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes
- Familiarity with academic support structures for learners with varying needs
Core Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff
- Empathetic, understanding, and child-centred mindset
- Experience working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
