Job Summary
We are seeking a Developer with strong communication and customer-facing skills, who is eager to learn and grow within the Financial Services sector. This role offers the chance to work closely with front office users, including traders, risk analysts, and operational staff, providing significant exposure to a variety of foreign exchange-related financial products. The ideal candidate will have experience in C# or Java, possess some SQL knowledge, and have a keen interest in financial markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in projects to develop and enhance the feature set of our front-office systems for foreign exchange trading
- Manage a variety of dev ops-style and BAU project deliveries within the Jetstream ecosystem
- Automate the generation of release notes and scripts for changing passwords across Jetstream environments
- Transition Java code from using Ant to Maven and integrate with SonarQube for improved code quality
- Implement a new deployment process for Java code, inspired by the SharpFX team's system
- Develop a dynamic web page to display streaming indicative prices from Solace with an appropriate tier applied

Candidate Criteria
Minimal Education Level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic Qualification / Speciality
- Graduated within the past 18 months with a 2:1 or equivalent
Experience
- Interest in financial markets, particularly front office operations
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to apply it to achieve practical outcomes
- Understanding of agile project delivery methods
- A strong desire to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Technical Skills Required
- Experience with C# or Java, and some knowledge of SQL
- Some knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is desirable
