Job Summary
We are seeking a Developer with strong communication and customer-facing skills to join our team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with front office users, including traders, risk analysts, and operational staff, in the dynamic field of foreign exchange trading. The ideal candidate will have experience in coding with C# or Java and a keen interest in Financial Services. Key competencies required include analytical thinking, a strong ability to learn quickly, and the capability to apply technical skills to achieve practical outcomes.
Day-to-day of the Role
- Participate in projects to develop and enhance the feature set of our various front-office systems for foreign exchange trading
- Manage a variety of dev ops-style project deliveries and BAU deliveries within the Sharp FX ecosystem
- Progress market connectivity goals, dev-ops style initiatives, and pricing-related goals

Candidate Criteria
Minimal Education Level
- Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic Qualification / Speciality
- Graduated within the past 18 months with a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent
Experience
- Experience working collaboratively in a team to achieve common goals
Required Skills
- Interest in financial markets, particularly front office-style operations
- Understanding of agile project delivery methods
- Strong team working skills, able to deliver effectively under pressure
- Analytical thinking with the ability to apply this to practical outcomes
- A strong desire to learn quickly and continuously improve
Technical Skills Required
- Exposure in Java and some knowledge of SQL
- Some knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is desirable
