Job Title: Spinning Operative
We are currently recruiting for a Spinning Operative to join our busy Yarn Manufacturing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time, permanent post working an average of 38 hours a week over a three-shift rotation (early, back, and night shifts).
Rate of pay for this role is £13.45 per hour, plus shift pay allowance.
About the Role
As a Spinning Operative here at Johnstons of Elgin, you will be operating a spinning machine to manufacture yarns to be used for knitting or weaving. You will nonetheless aim to achieve the required output levels to meet our production plan. No experience is needed as full training will be provided.
About You

- Have the ability to carefully and accurately follow verbal and detailed written instructions
- Take pride in doing a job well, and never compromise on high standards
- Be a team player with good communication skills
- Have good colour vision
- Have previous experience working in a factory environment or operating machinery
- Organised and reliable
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Be able to work to deadlines
