General Working Hours
40–48 hours per week Shifts include daytime, evenings, nights, weekends, seasonal work away, plus on-call rotation (especially for van access).

Your Role as 12d Traffic Management Operative
Ensure safety by:
- Performing traffic counts (data collection & client communication)
- Maintaining temporary traffic lights
- Deploying/managing equipment, including:
- Cones
- Signs & frames
- Sandbags
- Other essential safety measures
- Mentoring new trainees in ACPO-friendly methods
Requirements
Essential criteria for this 12d Traffic Management Operative role:
- Qualifications: Minimum M1/M2 (or SLG Unit 2—considered equivalent)
- Regulatory Knowledge: Competency with Chapter 8 guidelines
- Drive Credentials:
- Full UK driving licence
- Max 6 points (no surcharge impact)
- If registered as excessive points offender, prohibition period must be expired for ≥5 years
- Testing:
- Pass required medicals (drug & alcohol tests)
- Attitude being positive, solution-focused
