Job Description
We are looking for candidates to be available between 5:30am to 6:30pm to be considered. This role is offering 20-25 hours per week.
You could expect the position of Barista Clerk working at Schnucks in the Starbucks department to include the following:
DUTIES
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
- Greet customers prior to filling their order
- Brew varieties of coffee and create specialty drinks according to Starbucks brand standards and recipes
- Ensure proper handling and packaging for cafe items
- Completion of Starbucks required training and familiarity with seasonal product offerings
- Suggestive selling and product sampling
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and cases, following Schnucks company safety and sanitation procedures as well as Starbucks standards
- Read and understand shelf tags and signage
- Operate a cash terminal
- Follow all opening and closing procedures within the department
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management including training as a checker and stock clerk.

TRAINING
Training will be provided at store level and will be a blended learning of hands-on experience along with computer based training both in Schnucks and Starbucks learning platforms.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Bending
- Stooping
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Working on feet for 4-8 hour shifts
Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates
Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Compensation
Pay Range: $15.10 - $16.50
