1st Line IT Service Desk Analyst – Join Our Trust IT Team
Are you passionate about technology and enjoy helping people solve problems?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused 1st Line IT Service Desk Analyst to join our central IT team, supporting schools across our Multi-Academy Trust.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your IT career in a varied, supportive environment where you’ll gain hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, networking, cloud technologies, user support, and IT projects.
What You’ll Do
As the first point of contact for IT support, you’ll:
- Provide friendly, professional 1st line IT support via phone, email, and remote assistance.
- Log, manage, and resolve support requests through our IT Service Desk.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 issues using our knowledge base.
- Create user accounts, reset passwords, and administer Teams and email services.
- Escalate more complex issues to our 2nd Line team when required.
- Help maintain accurate IT documentation and support Trust-wide IT projects.
- Occasionally visit schools across the Trust to provide on-site support.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll need:
✅ A passion for IT and delivering excellent customer service. ✅ Good knowledge of Windows PCs and Microsoft technologies. ✅ An understanding of networking fundamentals. ✅ Strong communication and problem-solving skills. ✅ A proactive, organised, and flexible approach to work.
Desirable: 🔹 Experience working in an IT support environment. 🔹 Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud services. 🔹 Experience working in a school or education setting. 🔹 A full UK driving licence.

Salary and Hours
- Post Title: 1st Line IT Service Desk Analyst
- Responsible to: IT Manager
- Grade: Grade 5/6 – £25,191 – £26,409 (tbc)
- Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
- Location: Market Harborough
