Social Worker – Wraparound Services

About the Role
This is a critical, full-time position with an innovative wraparound model providing embedded support to students while addressing the gap in mental health and behavioral guidance across a diverse county. The Social Worker will work within a collaborative team, blending behavioral and therapeutic interventions to promote student success and family support.
Guaranteed placement with wrap-around mental health services for eligible children, enhances teacher-child relationships and collaboration efforts, provides crisis intervention within the school environment, implements proactive and reactive strategies for students requiring tailored social-emotional support.
Civil Service/Union: Yes Work Schedule: 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM (Monday - Friday)
Responsibilities
Includes, but is not limited to:
- Embedded within a school placement to share the same schedule and collaborate directly with teachers, para-educators, and administrators to enhance academic and behavioral outcomes for students in need of wraparound support.
- Conducts regular family meetings to provide family-oriented services and ensure progress towards achieving the IEP objectives.
- Develops and implements targeted case plans and provide ongoing progress reports to ensure continuity of care.
- Contributes to professional growth and trainings as given by assigned manager or program leader.
- Implements behavioral interventions, de-escalation techniques, and crisis management in the school environment.
- Collaborates with outside agencies, service providers, and internal resources to meet the child's unique needs.
- Conducts individual and family counseling sessions to identify and resolve challenges affecting students' academic/behavioral performance.
- Documents all interventions, consultations, and school-based sessions.

Education/Credentials
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work required. Or a Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Must possess a valid Washington State Professional Educator License that emphasizes Social Work (SWLP) for the CORE (-bordered) or Social Worker Education/Proficiency (SWEP) Rating Group with an Endorsement in Schools (SCH).
Foreign credentials accepted with WCAT or other reconstitution process proven to qualify candidates. Please provide photocopies of transcript and degrees.
Experience and Credentials
Requires a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in K-12 wraparound services, behavioral health, crisis intervention, and/or social work within a school or community environment.
Due to the county-wide nature of wraparound, The Social Worker submitting application for this position must demonstrate work experience or a minimum of an Associate Degree or higher as part of their experience. Including education and demonstrably relevant coursework and/or internship work.

To be competitively considered, candidates should hold a MSW or Pediatric Clinical Certification.
Relevant experience including:
- Behavioral Health Coordination

- Wraparound Model Implementation
