Apprenticeship Standard: Level 4 Business Analyst

Department: Low Code Technology & Operational Platforms within Global Technology

Salary: £27,000 pa plus benefits

Start date: 7th September 2026

Location: City of London, London

Programme Overview:

Schroders’ two-year apprenticeship programmes give school and college leavers a hands-on introduction to investment management and the opportunity to develop key skills, gain professional qualifications and build an industry network. We have a wide range of opportunities across our business.

Investment20/20

You will join as an apprentice as part of the Investment20/20 programme. You will have opportunities to meet and network with apprentices across the industry, as well as participate in technical skills training, socials and insight events.

The teams

As a Global Operations, Data & Private Assets Technology Apprentice you will join with one of our Operations, Data or Private Assets Technology teams. All of these teams work globally with other colleagues around the world and will help you with learning all about what they do.

Group Business Platforms

The Group Business Platforms department at Schroders is a Global Technology change delivery function that oversees and executes all technology delivery within the organisation.

This department is strategically structured to align with technology services and shared Centre of Excellence (CoE) functions for analysis, engineering, technical architecture, low code and delivery, fostering a collaborative environment where cross-functional, fungible skills can thrive.

By leveraging these diverse capabilities, Group Business Platforms ensures the successful execution of technology initiatives while driving innovation and efficiency across the organisation.

Low Code Technology & Operational Platforms

The Low Code Centre of Enablement has been launched to help promote the use of low-code platforms, empowering teams to meet business needs more swiftly across the organisation. It is a collaborative hub, making the sharing of insights and solutions easier, and increasing opportunities for innovation and scalability.

Operational Platforms, incorporates the four key areas of function, Onboarding, Transaction Processing, Reconciliations and Reporting. Bringing these functions together, underpins the lifecycle of a Schroders product or client journey, ultimately enhancing client experience through improved efficiency and faster product delivery.

What you’ll do (all teams):

  • Helping to support and manage work items assigned to team from the business
  • Working with business and technology stakeholders directly and coordinating with internal developers and testers
  • Performing data analysis and offering data consultancy to business and technology stakeholders
  • Updating the physical data model dictionary
  • Support the full project lifecycle through to implementation – you’ll be involved at every stage of the software development lifecycle

Who we're looking for:

If you've just finished school or college, and gained A-levels or BTECs, and you're not sure that university is for you, then our apprenticeship opportunities within our Global Technology function provides you with a chance to work in London, take the first step in your career and earn while you learn. As a Schroders apprentice, you will spend 20% of your time working towards achieving an accredited professional qualification; the rest of your time will be spent working with your team and gaining the skills you need to build your expertise.

You need to be:

  • Living in England and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years prior to the apprenticeship start date
  • Will be aged 18 or over by 7 September 2026
  • A recent school or college leaver (A-levels, BTECs or equivalent), or are unsure whether university is the right path for you
  • Are not enrolled in another government-funded apprenticeship or further education programme when you start with us

Qualifications required:

  • A-levels (or equivalent) in any subjects – no minimum UCAS points required.
  • Level 2 in both English and Maths (GCSE grade 9-4 or equivalent) for those undertaking a level 3 or higher apprenticeship.
