Applications are invited for Specialty Doctors to join our Emergency Medicine Team
We also welcome applications from General Practitioners with a special interest in Emergency Medicine.
About the Role
The post is based at the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and is targeted towards doctors who have completed at least four years of full-time relevant postgraduate experience (or equivalent part-time). Of this, at least two years must have been spent in a specialty training programme in Emergency Medicine or as a fixed-term specialty trainee. Alternatively, applicants must demonstrate equivalent experience at ST3 level or above.

The role is a permanent, full-time (40-hour) post based in the Emergency Department.

Ideal Candidate Requirements
- MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
- MRCEM – membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine
- Full GMC registration and licence to practise
- Practical skills aligned with Emergency Medicine requirements
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to balance leadership and teamwork
- Exceptional organisational and time-management capabilities
Location & Context
