Key Responsibilities
- To provide an independent, comprehensive specialist service, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge planning for a complex patient cohort.
- To supervise physiotherapists, consultant assistants, clinical support workers, and physiotherapy students within the service.
- To develop and deliver training programmes for a wide range of professionals (e.g., carers, clinicians, healthcare assistants) to educate participants on:
- The therapy process.
- Any intervention used in patient management, addressing both medical and social needs.
- Empowering significant others and carers in supporting patient recovery.
