This role will support cancer services by:

  • Navigating and tracking urgent-referred patients across the NHS Scotland system
  • Ensuring seamless communication with hospital department staff to reduce delays in patient transitions
  • Identifying patients at risk of breaching the 62-day national wait time target (from urgent referral to initial treatment)
  • Proactively taking appropriate action and escalating concerns to the relevant management team
  • Compiling accurate data for weekly reports to the Health Board and Scottish Government, ensuring key findings are communicated
