About the Role
Ahigher-level Pharmacy Support Worker at the Aseptic Services team at St John’s Hospital would involve:
Key Responsibilities
- Support [aseptic technical services] with:
- Goods receipt and distribution
- Preparation and supply of medicines to clinical areas
- Labelling and dispensing of medicines
- Aid expansion into higher-level activities, such as:
- Checking and releasing unlicensed medicines (with training)
- Train peer Pharmacy Support Workers to maintain high service standards
- Collaborate with senior pharmacy technicians in:
- Service improvement initiatives
- Optimising medicine supply efficiency

About You
Essential Criteria

Qualifications:
- National 4 (equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and Science (Biology or Chemistry)
- Minimum SCQF Level 6 knowledge
- Commitment to complete an in-house competency-based Group Award (accredited by Edinburgh College) within 12 months of starting

Experience:
- Relevant experience in a pharmacy setting is mandatory
