About the Role
We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join the busy Microbiology Department based within the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The post holder will have the opportunity to join a strong team working within a modern medical laboratory located on the outskirts of Dumfries. Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary is a state-of-the-art general hospital opened in December 2017.
Previous experience within a laboratory environment would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be expected to complete the Health Care Support Workers portfolio as per Scottish Government requirements and, depending on their qualifications, may also be required to complete the IBMS Level 1 portfolio.

Shift Pattern
The shift pattern for this job is 5 days over 7 (including weekends, early and late shifts). Recent experience of working in a medical or clinical laboratory would be beneficial but training will be provided. An immediate start is required once pre-employment checks are completed.
