This critical role involves providing evidence-based psychological interventions for clients with complex mental health needs, working to establish and maintain Matrix 3-4 standards.
== Key Responsibilities ==
- Conduct psychological assessments and formulations to determine appropriate evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Manage a caseload from admission to discharge, including:
- Prioritising waitlists and acting in line with national service targets.
- Overseeing service delivery against performance goals.
- Supervise, mentor, and support:
- Both high-intensity and low-intensity therapists.
- Trainee therapists, ensuring professional development.
- Foster a collaborative approach with multi-disciplinary teams to safeguard and improve client outcomes.

== Essential Requirements ==
- Registration: Be a Registered Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or hold equivalent professional credentials.
- Clinical Experience: Demonstrated expertise in complex mental health interventions, including experience working within Matrix 3-4 frameworks.
- Professional Membership:
- Eligibility for (or current membership of) the PVG Scheme (required for all posts involving contact with vulnerable groups).
- Mandatory adherence to post-work Disclosure Scotland checks to confirm suitability for regulated roles.
- Legislative Awareness: Capacity to comply with UK visa/immigration policies to ensure eligibility for employment.
Important Legal Note: Due to updates in Scottish legislation (effective 1 April 2025), a higher-grade criminal records check may apply. Final confirmation of PVG Scheme requirements will be provided by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team.
