Personal Assistant to Director of Pharmacy
We are looking for our new Personal Assistant to our Director of Pharmacy – could it be you? This post provides vital support for our Director of Pharmacy and the wider corporate pharmacy team at NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
About You
You should be able to demonstrate that you have proven and comprehensive secretarial and administrative abilities and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a good work ethos, be organised, and be proficient in problem solving. You will be used to working on your own initiative and fully understand the importance of handling confidential material sensitively. You will be able to work with competing priorities alongside a variety of stakeholders whilst keeping a calm demeanour.

Knowledge of NHS policies, procedures and structures and experience in use of relevant electronic systems is an advantage but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficient diary management
- Liaising with a range of colleagues from within and external to the organisation
- Organising meetings and generating and distributing associated paperwork
- Ensuring deadlines are met
- Dealing with Freedom of Information requests
- Overseeing document databases
- Facilitating timely reviews and updates
You will need to be experienced and proficient in the use of all Microsoft packages. You will need to be flexible, reliable, trustworthy, and enthusiastic and manage an extensive workload effectively with minimal guidance.

Job Details
The post is full time at 36 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. The post is based in Dumfries at Mountainhall Treatment Centre, however flexible working is possible. The post is advertised as full time however part time and job share working would be considered.
