🚨 We're Hiring: Engineering Assurance Manager 🚨

A growing engineering consultancy delivering major UK power infrastructure projects is looking to appoint an Engineering Assurance Manager to strengthen its technical governance and design review capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in transmission and distribution projects who enjoys challenging design solutions, driving technical excellence, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The Role

This is not a traditional Quality Manager position.

You'll play a key role in reviewing engineering designs, providing technical assurance, ensuring compliance with National Grid standards, and supporting the continuous improvement of engineering quality across a range of HV infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify engineering designs and technical deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with National Grid specifications and industry standards, including TP188
  • Challenge design outputs and identify technical risks
  • Support engineering governance and design assurance activities
  • Drive improvements in engineering quality processes and best practice
  • Work closely with engineering and project delivery teams across multiple projects

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within the power transmission and distribution sector
  • Strong understanding of National Grid standards, particularly TP188
  • Background in HV infrastructure, substations, transmission, or distribution projects
  • Ability to review and assure engineering designs
  • Strong technical engineering knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
