Location: Birmingham – Hybrid
About the Role Here at Khuda Technology, we are partnering with a leading Managed Service Provider to find a 2nd Line engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing expert technical support for cloud-based Windows infrastructure, with a focus on Azure and AWS environments. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and problem-solving experience with Windows servers 2012/2016/2019 technologies, along with proficiency in Office 365 and on-premise Exchange. PowerShell scripting, SCOM, and SCCM knowledge are essential, as well as strong cloud practice management skills, including virtual server management, NSG management, automation, and familiarity with AVD and VMware.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support for cloud-based Windows infrastructure, including Azure and AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows servers (2012/2016/2019), Office 365, and on-premise Exchange.
- Utilise PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SCOM and SCCM for system monitoring and management.
- Manage virtual servers, NSGs, and implement automation practices in cloud environments.
- Possess desirable certifications in Windows Server and Azure technologies.
- Demonstrate commercial knowledge and experience in delivering services to clients within the full scope of Windows infrastructure.
- Strong presentation skills, technical problem analysis, report/proposal writing, and relationship building are essential.

Desired Skills And Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar 2nd Line Technical Support role.
- In-depth knowledge and problem-solving experience with Windows servers (2012/2016/2019) and cloud-based technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
- Familiarity with SCOM, SCCM, and other monitoring tools.
- Strong cloud practice management skills, including virtual server management, NSG management, and automation.
- Desirable certifications in Windows Server and Azure technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
