2nd/3rd Line IT Support Engineer
A leading organisation is looking for a 2nd/3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join its established IT Service & Operations team based near North Warrington. Supporting around 5,000 users across multiple offices and hundreds of project sites throughout the UK and Ireland, you'll play a key role in delivering 2nd and 3rd line support while acting as a senior technical escalation point.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Company Vehicle / Car Allowance
Location: Newton-Le-Willows (5 days onsite)

A leading organisation is looking for a 2nd/3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join its established IT Service & Operations team based near North Warrington. Supporting around 5,000 users across multiple offices and hundreds of project sites throughout the UK and Ireland, you'll play a key role in delivering 2nd and 3rd line support while acting as a senior technical escalation point.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative IT function with dedicated Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Networking and Projects teams, offering exposure to a broad Microsoft environment, enterprise networking technologies and a strong pipeline of technical projects over the coming years.

What you'll do:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support across the business, taking ownership of complex technical issues.
- Act as the senior escalation point for the Service Desk and mentor junior technicians.
- Support users across office locations and remote project sites.
- Mobilise new project sites, including IT equipment, connectivity and communications.
- Deliver infrastructure upgrades, deployments and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security and third-party suppliers to maintain secure, reliable IT services.
- Maintain technical documentation, asset records and follow ITIL best practices.
What you bring:
- Previous experience in a Senior 2nd/3rd Line Support role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Microsoft technologies, hardware, software and networking.
- Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune and Windows technologies.
- Exposure to networking technologies such as Meraki, Juniper or similar.
- Understanding of ITIL and IT security best practice.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
