Volunteer 3D Artist for Pixelated Reverie
Bearly Awake Games are looking for a volunteer 3D Artist to assist on our current game, Pixelated Reverie. We are a small team based in Surrey, UK who are passionately working on Pixelated Reverie - a multi-dimensional puzzle platformer being developed in Unity.
Pixelated Reverie began development at the Incubator Studio at the University for the Creative Arts, before competing in Tranzfuser 2025. Over this time the game has greatly evolved and has been showcased at several conventions including: Guildford Games, Game Dev Local, Protoplay and more!
We are hoping to expand our team as we get a Steam demo ready for release before the year’s end, and would love for passionate artists to join and expand our horizons. As stated, we are looking for voluntary, in-kind work - we are a small game studio with little funding and our main aim this year is to release our upcoming demo and acquire funding. Regardless of whether or not you have a strong portfolio, we would like to see any work you have to see if you're the right fit.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
