Platform: PC / Steam

Engine: Unity

Availability: Part-time (Remote)

Quick Note About Compensation

This role works on a revenue-share basis rather than a monthly salary. We’re a new, small studio developing our first three PC games for the Steam platform, and we prefer a simple, transparent model:

  • You contribute to the project →
  • Once the game launches →
  • You receive your agreed share of the revenue.

It’s not a co-founder offer, not a large equity stake — just a straightforward, honest collaboration for artists who enjoy building games with a small, dedicated team. If that sounds reasonable, keep reading.

About Us

We are TINK TEAM LTD, a UK-based technology company and a newly formed independent game development studio. Our team is currently building three new game projects simultaneously, focusing on high-quality 3D gameplay, strong visual identity, and modern Unity workflows.

As we expand our game division, we are looking for a 3D Animation & VFX Artist who can help bring our characters, creatures, combat actions, and gameplay feedback to life across our upcoming titles.

Role Overview

This role is open to Senior-Level specialists with strong experience in:

  • 3D Character Animation
  • Gameplay Animation
  • Unity Animation Integration
  • Real-time Game VFX

You will play a key role in shaping how our characters move, attack, react, and communicate gameplay information visually. Your work will directly influence the feel, readability, and production quality of our games.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Create clean, efficient, and game-ready character rigs for humans, creatures, enemies, bosses, and other animated entities.
  • Handle skinning, weight painting, and deformation quality to ensure strong animation results.
  • Produce and polish gameplay animations such as idle, movement, attack, hit reaction, death, skill, interaction, and special action animations.
  • Prepare animation assets for smooth implementation in Unity, including export setup, animation clips, retargeting where needed, and technical consistency.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure animations work correctly with state machines, gameplay timing, combat logic, and player feedback systems.
  • Design and create impactful real-time game VFX, including:
    • Attack and hit effects
    • Skill and ability effects
    • Telegraph / warning effects
    • Projectile trails
    • Impact flashes
    • Environmental or ambient effects where relevant
  • Improve gameplay clarity through readable and well-timed animation–VFX coordination.
  • Help define consistent production standards for rigs, animation naming, export structure, and VFX implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, 3D artists, developers, and producers throughout development.
  • Use Git / project file structures responsibly for team coordination and asset delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
