3D Character Artist wanted for Namefall ⚔️

We're a small founder-led studio building a semi-realistic souls-like RPG in Unreal Engine 5. Programmers and combat animators are on board, traversal is done, combat is in progress. Now we need someone to bring the characters to life.

On the visual side:

  • Think FromSoftware. Semi-realistic proportions, grounded anatomy, no stylised or cartoon shapes. Our world leans heavily on religious and medieval architecture, with a sense of former grandeur that has been corrupted over time, and the characters need to read the same way. Worn armour, weight and history in the silhouette, storytelling through material and damage rather than through spectacle. Readable silhouettes matter a lot in a souls-like, since players need to recognise a threat and its attack at a glance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'd be owning the player character, enemies and bosses. UE5 experience ideal. What matters most is a portfolio with a feel for grounded, believable characters and a genuine interest in the genre.

Being upfront about the terms:

  • This is rev-share at this stage of the studio, around 10 hours a week, no salary. What you get in return is real creative ownership over how the game looks, a small team where your work is visible in the build within days, and a fair share of what the project earns once it's out.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, drop us a message with your portfolio 🙌
