About the Role
A vacancy for a 3D Experience System Architect has arisen within Airbus Engineering (Filton). You will join the "One PLM" department ("One PLM" Product Service Line - DPX), reporting functionally to the Head of the Department. This organisation ensures the development and support of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) solutions within Airbus and adheres to the Airbus Group Process, Method, and Tools strategy.
The team delivers a cohesive and harmonised set of IS/IT tools for the design and development of the Aircraft, its industrial setup, and Services Support, including both non-recurring and recurring aspects. This aligns with core engineering domains such as Simulation, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Authoring, Dossier Definition (Gen Dossier), Knowledge Capitalisation, and Product Quality, ensuring digital continuity across Airbus domains.
Your Role: Key Contributions
- Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of 3D/3DEXPERIENCE solutions, exploring alternatives
- Define and communicate the IT/IS architectural vision to the Agile Release Train (ART)
- Collaborate with System Architects and DevOps teams to define and lead delivery methodologies under Agile Release Train
- Engage in Program Increment (PI) planning (pre- and post-Planning), solution demos, and Inspect & Adapt (I&A) events
- Design and deliver the "Architectural Runway" for new business features and capabilities
- Work closely with Product and Solution Management on capacity allocation
- Apply economic frameworks in assessing the impact of design decisions and trade-offs

About You: Qualifications & Experience
- Proven expertise in Business IT projects, particularly in engineering, simulation, or quality domains
- Strong knowledge of:
- 3DEXPERENCE platform and its underlying technologies
- NetVibes / Exalead products (or similar digital workspaces)
- Information Systems (IS) / IT architecture design, with exposure to Airbus-specific engineering IT architectures
- Configuration Management (CM), definition dossier (GenDossier) concepts and release workflows
- DevOps principles and practices
- Airbus welcomes non-exact matches—candidate growth via personalised development paths is key.
Alternative qualifications will still be considered—Artemis and team leadership experience may qualify too.
